What's this about?
AI news comes in two flavors: panic and hype. Neither is particularly useful.
This blog tries something different: sober, honest, and explained so that you don't need a computer science degree to follow along. With a slight wink, because all of this is kind of absurd anyway.
Who's behind it?
A hobbyist who uses AI daily — both professionally and personally — and wanted to write down their experiences. No company, no team, no sponsor.
Articles are written partly by hand, partly with AI assistance. We're transparent about when and how AI helped with writing — it would be a bit odd to hide that on a blog about AI.
What does it cost?
Reading: nothing. No paywall, no mandatory newsletter, no annoying pop-ups.
We also don't make anything here. No affiliates, no ads, no sponsors. Pure hobby.
Can I donate?
No. On purpose. No donate button, no Ko-fi, no Patreon. The moment money comes in, every article suddenly looks like paid advertising — and that's exactly what this blog doesn't want to be. Better poor and credible.
Why do you do all this for free?
Because the most valuable thing about AI isn't the tool, it's the experience with it. Techniques, algorithms, trends, routine — it all piles up here with every article. And that knowledge is worth so much more in everyday work than a few advertising euros could ever bring in. So this blog isn't a business. It's training. (And fun.)
One more thing: I'm a big believer in open source. I don't (yet) publish this blog's source code — but the least I can do is make the content freely available. Free to read, free to share, nobody has to pay. That's the bare minimum.
How is this blog built?
A custom PHP build script + GitLab CI/CD + a bit more PHP for the counter. And yes, Claude Code helps with writing and building — there's a dedicated article about that.
Why also in Latin and Klingon?
Because we can.
🤷
Seriously: because a multilingual blog can also be a multilingual experiment. German and English are the main languages — the other two are a gimmick and a nod to anyone who clicks through and thinks "wait, is that actually Latin?" Or tlhIngan Hol.
If you're reading the Klingon posts and wondering whether it's real Klingon: yes. Roughly. In the same sense that a school essay is "real Latin."
Can I contact you?
Try Bluesky. But be warned: there too, you might just get an AI agent answering. Why Bluesky? Because they allow exactly that — letting an AI agent manage the entire account. Fitting, given the topic.
Hobby project. No legal imprint required. No guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness — but we try.
